Every release of Android comes with significant fixes and improvements. Many of the improvements are aimed at making your phone more protected from hackers as well as add not only new but useful features. Some of the features are easy to spot while other could be more technical. Therefore, following Android Alpha and Beta, Google has made it a tradition to name its Android OS updates in alphabetical order. In the past, we have had Alpha, Beta, Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jellybean, KitKat, Lollipop, and Marshmallow. Therefore, Google allowed the public to vote on the upcoming Android N name, and it has recently announced that it will be called Android Nougat. Hence, this write-up is aimed at giving you an insight on the upcoming Android features.
1. Instant Apps
Though instant apps is a feature that is dated back to Android Jelly Bean, Google has also included it in Android Nougat. It is a great app that allows users to get access to particular applications without the need to install or download it. Typically, it lets users access a vast spectrum of apps without the need to pay for them.
The upcoming Android comes with a Multiwindow feature that gives you the ability to open multiple apps at a go. In the past, Multiwindow was restricted to particular Android devices, such as those from LG and Samsung. Any device that uses bone stock Android OS does not have Multiwindow. However, the upcoming Android will make the Multiwindow feature standard for all Android users.
3. Night Mode
The night mode is aimed at allowing the phone`s screen to adapt to the external light conditions. Furthermore, the screen will emit a yellow light instead of the bright blue often associated with most smartphone screens. Therefore, the night mode feature will come as a sigh of relief for anyone addicted to using his or her phone at night.
4. Sustained Performance Mode (SPM)
SPM is a great feature that allows developers to identify any applications that need to run at a high intensity for an extended period. Therefore, with the SPM feature, developers can easily set sustainable performance levels for the duration such that it has no adverse effects on your phone`s battery.
5. Continuous updates
This is one of the coolest features of the upcoming Android. Instead of downloading an Android update, install and then reboot it, the next Android will automatically download and install the update on a subordinate partition. Furthermore, when you consider resetting your device, Android will automatically switch partitions and avail the latest Android version. Hence, you will no longer be required to go through the tiresome process updating.
6. Google Assistant
Google Assistant is one of the latest updates in the intelligent assistant application. It is designed to give a more natural quality to the dialogue with other devices as compared to Google Now. It is a great feature that allows you to make use of voice commands to accomplish such tasks as writing a text and opening a new application, just to mention but a few.
